Anthony was one of the earliest American manufacturers of
cameras and photographic supplies.
The Champion series of tailboard cameras were manufactured from
1887 to 1906 and offered in formats from 4x5 to 8x10 inches.
Construction was mahogany bodies attached to cherry bases.
This 5 x 8 inch format Anthony Champion Stereo has a pair of EA
landscape lenses mounted in bright nickel plated barrels. Push-in
style washers were used for apertures.
